The solution was this ingenious gate-leg table. Seating for one or two during the week, but plenty roomy enough for trattoria-style meal for 6 or 8 when needed.
Carefully fashioned from salvaged floorboards and beams, with the woodgrain and history shining through the lustrous wax finish, this table will keep the spirit of socialising for many years to come.
