They bought a new widebeam barge direct from manufacturers; it came with a deck, a shell superstructure and engine, and NOTHING ELSE.
They lived and worked on it as it was (you can just see their bed - a pile of 3 lumps of foam), just don't ask about the toilet arrangements!
Foxwood salvaged timber from reclaimed old packing cases, and helped to fit out the barge from bow to stern. They were rather pleased with how it looked in the end, and so were we. Hope you are too.
